Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center

Awarded Better Business Bureau Accredited Charity Seal

Davidson, NC – The Board of Directors of the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center (DCCDC) is pleased to announce that the DCCDC has earned the Better Business Bureau (BBB) Accredited Charity Seal. This distinctive and recognizable seal is available only to those organizations that meet all applicable BBB Standards for Charitable Accountability. The DCCDC now belongs to a select group of non-profit organizations that have demonstrated their commitment to strong governance, financial transparency, and ethical fundraising.

According to Tom Bright, Board President, “The DCCDC met all of the BBB Standards for Charitable Accountability, which is a remarkable achievement for which we are very proud. For families, donors and volunteers the seal provides peace of mind, knowing that we operate responsibly, spend our funds prudently, and operate the DCCDC according to the highest standards. We are very grateful for this recognition as a credible, trustworthy charitable organization.”

About the Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center

The Davidson-Cornelius Child Development Center (officially known as the North Mecklenburg Child Development Association dba the DCCDC) is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization, licensed by the State of North Carolina, that provides high-quality, affordable early childhood care and education in a diverse, safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. Serving children ages 6 weeks to Pre-Kindergarten, the Center is the only 5-star, full-time, scholarship-providing early child development and care center in the North Mecklenburg/Lake Norman area. The Center serves all families of our community without regard for race, ethnicity, religion or income level.

The original mission of the DCCDC remains true today: to provide high-quality, affordable early care and education for all children of our community and to embrace and foster diversity in a safe learning environment for young children. Since we opened our doors in 1969 – 46 years ago, the DCCDC has helped shape the foundations and strengthen the futures of over 2,300 children in our community.
